FabFitFun 2018 Winter Box

Every time I’ve gotten a new FabFitFun box, I feel like I’ve said, “this is my favorite box I’ve gotten so far!”.

And….I’m saying it again.

They keep surprising me and getting better with each box I get. This is why I keep this subscription above all of the rest of them.

On the off-chance that you haven’t heard of this box, it is a seasonal subscription box (so you get four boxes per year) full of FULL-SIZE beauty, health, fitness, and fashion items. Each box is $49.95 and always has AT least $250 of products inside the box; most of my recent boxes I’ve had over $350 worth of products in mine.

And the quality of products is incredible. There has been Murad products, Dr. Brandt, Vince Camuto, Orlando Pita, etc.

What’s even better is every season the boxes support a different charity. It brings awareness to it along with donating part of the proceeds of each box sold to the charity it’s supporting.

This box is supporting The Kindness Factory that believes in random acts of kindness.  They have a goal of achieving one million random acts of kindness by 2020 and already have almost 200,000 with people logging in from all over the world.  Head over to The Kindness Factory to read more about the program or share your story on social media by using #OneSmallAct.

This season’s box had a bit more customization than normal, which I like because it means I’m more likely to get items I actually need and am less likely to get things that will have no bearing on my life.

This box…I essentially love everything and want to try all of it. There’s even a cult-classic product in there that I have been DYING to try, but can’t justify spending the money on it, so I was absolutely giddy when I opened it.

So, let’s start with that one…

Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo

ACS_0115

ORIBE! Yes! I said, Oribe.  Some of the most painfully expensive hair products on the planet but work so amazingly beautifully in every person’s hair.  This bottle of dry shampoo costs $44, which makes me cringe a little.  But this is also the best dry shampoo I’ve ever used (because yes, I’ve used it already).  It’s a translucent spray (which is amazing enough) but it also leaves your hair just feeling clean and refreshed and doesn’t leave the residue that I sometimes hate in most dry shampoos.  I know, I’ve said I like the texture from hair products and most often I do, but sometimes I want a dry shampoo to just get rid of the oiliness so I can wear it down for another day.  This does that and it’s amazing.  Now let’s see if I can get the bottle to last for like five years.

Moroccan Gold Series Treatment Mask

ACS_0122

This is so timely for my hair right now.  I went to my hairdresser yesterday and she noted that I have some breakage around the back (where I need breakage the least) probably because I’m not protecting it and nourishing it enough (and because I heat style, let’s be real here) I do still love my Wella Brilliance deep treatment, but admittedly I haven’t been using it as much as I should.  This Moroccan treatment looks even thicker than my Wella treatment and has keratin and argan oil to help strengthen hair and seal split ends.  Because it’s so thick you only need a little bit, which means this huge jar will also last a long time.

Mark & Graham Colorblock Throw in Natural/Ivory

ACS_0114

I was looking to get a new throw because every blanket in my house seems to get taken over by a furry four-legged cat that lives here.  Basically, I wanted to snuggle with something that doesn’t have cat hair.  It is so soft and cozy.  I’m sure it’ll get some cat hair on it eventually, but this is one I’ll put away when I’m not using it to keep our little furry Queen Maya off of it when I’m not using it.  Plus, it’s not super huge like some throws can be.  It’s just enough to throw over you when you’re on the couch without feeling like it’s completely engulfing you.

Sherrie Matthews Acupuncture Jade Stone Roller

ACS_0117

Taking better care of my skin has been a goal of mine for a while now.  I’ve been working on my skincare routine and I’ve wanted to add a jade roller for some time because I’ve heard they are magic when it comes to stimulating cell regeneration and help immensely with puffiness.  I’ve heard keeping it in the fridge is the best, so if you’ve done that tell me if it works better.

Bite Beauty Amuse Buche Lipstick in Meringue

ACS_0120

I’m really not a lipstick girl (though I have been wearing it more often lately, maybe it’s just the stage of life I’m in); I feel like most of them are just too bright.  So, when I do wear it I prefer it to be a more nude/natural color that isn’t super bright.

ACS_0121

I also like that this lip color feels nourishing and moisturizing, unlike most lip colors that have a tendency to make my lips feel dry.  This is one I’d keep in my purse for quick touch ups throughout the day.

Anthropologie X Mer-Sea & Co. Sea Whip Body Cream in Coconut Sugar

ACS_0119

My skin care also includes the skin on my body, which means keeping my super dry elbows moisturized and nourished throughout this extra dry winter season.  This lotion smells SO GOOD!  I’m not big on super strong scents for my body lotion since it’s something that I’ll smell on me for a long time.  This has a nice scent and doesn’t smell too heavy.  Plus, I’m also a sucker for anything Anthropologie.

Thrive Causemetics Brilliant Eye Brightener in Stella

ACS_0116

This is probably the one thing that I will try but if it doesn’t blow me away, will likely hand off to a friend of mine.  This is meant to, as it states, brighten your eyes.  So you could use it below your brow bone to highlight that area, use it in the inner corner to brighten.  I don’t do a ton of eye things, so for me, this probably won’t get used a lot.  But I’m curious to see how it looks.  Maybe this will be the thing to get me to do more with my eyes.  We’ll see.

Ahava Hydration Cream Mask

ACS_0118-2

Again, skincare is life for me.  I’m not a huge mask person so when I saw in the magazine that you can use this as either a quick mask that you can keep on for a few minutes or one that you can sleep in (which is my preference), it won me over.  This mask is infused with spring water, shea butter, and Vitamin E, so it’s super hydrating and will help to smooth any rough and dry patches you may have.

BLAQ Hydrogel Eye Mask with Hyaluronic Acid

ACS_0123-2

We know I hate my undereye area because of how puffy it gets under there.  These patches have activated charcoal in them to help de-puff and detoxify that area.  Hyaluronic acid is a huge buzz-word lately and has become intensely popular because, from my understanding, really works with the natural hydration in your skin to keep it hydrated without looking puffy.  I am very excited to try these.

So, if after all of this, you’re interested in trying out a box for yourself, you can get $10 off your first box by clicking here, making it $39.95 for a box that will contain at least $250 worth of products.

It’s an amazing deal and definitely worth a try!
