Saturday Shorts

*Its okay, I know it’s Sunday.  Yesterday was busy, which seems to be a hallmark of my life lately.

*I am really mad that no one told me about a wet brush before.  When I got my hair done a couple weeks ago, she used a wet brush on my hair and it went through so easily, I had to buy one. IT’S AMAZING! I am so mad I never knew about it.  I always used a wide tooth comb, which is fine, but this actually pulls at your hair less so you have less fall out and are less likely to break your hair since wet hair is more prone to breakage.  They’re about $10 at Target and Walmart and about $8-$9 on Amazon, which is of course, where I got mine.  Totally worth it if you have hair that’s hard to comb through when it’s wet.

*I need good mascara recommendations.  I’ve always had pretty long lashes, they were just sort of thin (not due to anything, they were just always that way naturally).  But, I think with taking the stuff I take for my hair issues helped bulk up my sparse lashes. They’re actually pretty decent these days:

I’m actually kind of impressed with them.  But, yeah, I need a new mascara.  I think I also need someone to teach me how to use an eyelash curler.  I have one and I use it, but my lashes essentially return to completely straight pretty quickly, even with putting mascara on right after curling them.  I think I might just be eyelash-ignorant, probably because I never had such nice ones before.  I don’t know how to handle it.

*My Spring FabFitFun box cam today! I was so excited!  I’ve been skillfully avoiding unbocing videos and blogs because I didn’t want the surprise ruined.  It’s amazing!! I’m going to be a blog unboxing of it here on Tuesday. You guys really seemed to enjoy it the last time and I am all about doing it again.  So, stayed tuned for that this week if yur’e interested in seeing this season’s box!

*We went and had lunch/dinner with Devon’s Mom and Grandma yesterday.  We hadn’t seen them in awhile; which they know we’re pretty constantly busy and they’re about an hour away from us; so they understand, but we still try to see them when we can.  It’s always nice to catch up.  I made a comment to them (while he as in the bathroom) that he’s pretty much what has kept me sane the past few weeks with everything going on. I told Lisa (his mother) that I’m always grateful that she raised such a good man.  She’s like, “oh I know I did (so modest), but he’s an even better man because of you; you’re the one now who keeps him strong and grounded and happier than I’ve ever seen him. And I dont feel like I have to worry about him as much because I know he has you, and for that, I’ll always be grateful to you, too.” That was so sweet of her to say that.  <3

I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their Sunday!
