More water, please

So….I have a confession to make.

I kinda fell off the water drinking bandwagon a little while ago.

Yes, I know how good it is for you and all the health benefits.  And I have pretty lame excuses for why I did. I mean I could say that it was Spring Break, I didn’t care, I’ve been super busy, so I was just grabbing whatever was near me, etc, etc, etc.

None of those answers are good ones.   I admit that.

But, it is what it is.

About a week ago, though, I realized that I kinda felt bloated for no real reason.  Devon’s first question, “have you been drinking your water?” :no answer from me:  And he just shook his head at me.  Pretty much all he drinks is water except for like one glass of Crystal Light a day and a soda maybe twice a week.  He only drinks water, so everytime I say I don’t, he’s like “YOU NEED MORE WATER”.

And yes, I know how good it is for me but I had a weakness and shit happened.  So yeah.

But, I am proud of myself.  This week and last week, I’ve been bringing my Basily water bottle again and drinking my cucumber lemon water that I talked about before and within the first day, I stopped feeling so hopelessly bloated and I have more energy and feel better and all of that.

See?  I even have it sitting on my desk right now and this is the second time I’ve filled it up this morning.

As much as I’d love to say I’ll never falter again now, I can’t say that because I’m human and it’s normal to mess up sometimes.  I still love and will always love my diet coke, that will never change.  But hopefully seeing all the good that water is doing for me will keep me drinking it.  I think I need to find some way to hold myself accountable for drinking it, too. I don’t know how, though.

How do you all keep yourselves accountable for things that you need to do? There’s got to be some easy way for me to do it.  I just don’t know what that is yet.
