One The First Day of Thanksgiving Break….

We have plans to act like 5 year olds.

AND IT’S GONNA BE AMAZING!

A couple of Christmas’ ago, Devon got me one of the bigger box sets of all the old Looney Tunes cartoons.  I have loved Looney Tunes since I was a little kid, which Devon knows so I was so excited when he got me the box set.  In fact it’s one of our “premium” box sets, which means it’s displayed at the top of our DVD shelves with a few other prized sets (and sets that just won’t fit on our shelves).  There is a similar set here on Amazon if you are interested in reliving your childhood every once in awhile, too.

A couple of weeks ago I had a random hankering to just watch Looney Tunes, but not just an episode or two, I wanted to just sit and watch it for hours and hours.  I don’t even remember what it was that brought that idea into my head, but I was fixated on it for the better part of a day.

So Devon and I decided, our first day of Thanksgiving break, we’re going to stay home and just marathon Looney Tunes all day.  It’s not like we don’t have enough episodes or anything.  We don’t have to be anywhere, we don’t have any huge responsibilities or commitments; so we’re gonna lounge in our pajamas and watch cartoons….like a couple of five year olds.

We also do have a good supply of snacks at home.  We made sure of that.  This is long weekend is not meant to be good for the waistline.  We’ll do better with that again next week.  But snacks are important here.

But we’re like giddy excited.  Yes, we’re 30 (and 31) years old, but we can still act like 5 year olds.  I always say that I think that is one of the most important things in a relationship, is that you can be completely silly and be comfortable enough with each other to act like a couple of kindergartners.

Plus, you need random goofy and silly days every once in awhile.  Life is too serious and controlled to not let go every once in awhile.

So we’re gonna party like it’s 1991 today and then we’ll go be adults at Devon’s Mom’s house for Thanksgiving tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
