Favorite Fall Trend: All the Corduroy

Corduroy has returned!

AND. I. AM. HERE. FOR. IT!

I have loved corduroy all the things since I was a kid. I don’t know what it is, but it just screams fall and winter to me.

When I first started seeing a bunch of corduroy skirts and jumpers (which also bring me right back to the third grade), I was hoping we’d get more variety in styles and it has appeared.

There are pants, there are jackets and blazers, there are even purses! All of the things that make my heart happy.

Now, back in the day (like 10 years ago) I had the best chocolate brown corduroy blazer that I randomly found at JCPenney one day. I wore it with everything, for years! A few years ago, I’m not sure what happened to it, but the collar became funky and it just wasn’t wearable anymore, which upset me because I loved it. I tried to find it on Poshmark or eBay and couldn’t, so I just gave up.

With the new corduroy trend, I actually found (almost) the same blazer at JCPenney again a few weeks ago! It’s a lighter brown, but it’s the same silhouette and style as the one I had before. I almost started dancing when I saw it in store. It also comes in a gorgeous deep red color that I’m likely going to go back for before Christmas (it is the first item linked below).

I’m actually wearing it for the first time today, since it’s finally cold enough to wear a blazer all day, and it is perfection.

The cord-game is strong this year, guys. Even in accessories, the amount of bags, shoes, wallets, SCRUNCHIES!….its insane. But again…

I AM HERE FOR IT!

If you are also here for it, I’ve got a few of my favorite corduroy things that I’ve found recently all here for you. And if you aren’t sure about this whole corduroy life…try the scrunchies….your life will be forever changed…and if it isn’t…well…at least it isn’t a coat you have to hide in the back of your closet until the end of time.
