*Remember how I said we were going to go to Denver for our anniversary? So…..we’re not anymore. A friend of ours actually gifted us a trip to a couple of wineries in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia, so we’re actually going to do that instead. Then Shenandoah Wine Trail has like 20 wineries in driving distance of each other, so we’re just going to spend a few days vineyard hopping. Plus, it’s only about a two-hour drive from us, so it’s easy to get there and come back when we want to. We’re staying at a beautiful resort right in the middle of the valley that we got an amazing deal on, so we’re pretty excited for the sudden change of plans. And there’s still mountains, so it’s just a closer trip than the one previously planned.
*I say thee again…it’s back to work tomorrow and I’M NOT READY! But Easter is in…2.5-ish weeks, so that’s helpful.
*I started cleaning out some of the house while I was home in an effort to not have to do all of it when we’re ready to move in a few months. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still a crap ton of stuff to go through, but starting to see progress is nice. I took a few bags up to Goodwill and will be taking a lot more. In doing this, I realized that you can buy plastic tubs in bulk, like those big 18 gallon bins that hold a lot of stuff, you can buy from Walmart.com in cases of 8. I’m sure you can also find them on Amazon for similar pricing.
They wind up being around $5/tub, which is a great price for these big boys. While I know it’s more logical to just use cardboard boxes while moving, we recognize that we’ll move twice in about two years and then we can use these for storage in whatever home we eventually buy, so not a pointless investment by far.
*I really need to find a gluten-free bakery near me. I know there are some near DC, but there has to be one in the suburbs of Baltimore. I just….I need some baked goods! I don’t care what kind, I just need kinds that won’t make my stomach hurt. If anyone is local and has any recommendations, I’m open to all of them.
I hope everyone is having a great Sunday!
