I go through phases where sweaters are concerned. There are some years where I never wear them and then there are years where I can’t get enough of them.
This is one of those years where I can’t get enough of them, which is great for me because the selection this year is just amazing. At this point, I think you all have heard me mention the American Eagle Cloudspun sweater about a million times because it’s my life right now. But in case you haven’t, it’s this one:
I kind of want to live in it at this point. AND, it’s on sale again if you missed it before. I might grab it in another color because it’s THAT good.
But, there are other really great sweater options out right now, so today I wanted to share some of my favorites with you. Maybe you’ll find a couple that you want to add to your closet.
Another favorite from American Eagle is this great classic cable knit sweater.
Cable Knits are timeless, so it’s a piece you could easily have around for many years and wear it with pretty much anything. It’s a little on the cropped side, so it isn’t meant to be a long sweater that you could easily wear with leggings, but it would be great with pants or jeans.
This Madewell sweater is so cute and I’m not sure why, but I think it’s the pockets. Pockets make everything better for me.
Plus, it’s just oversized and looks cozy, so…I like it. It comes in a few different colors and certain colors are currently on sale. Even better, you can get up to 30% off on Madwell’s site right now, which NEVER happens.
I’m not always the biggest fan of turtleneck sweaters because I usually feel constricted in them and they have a tendency to feel itchy but this one from BP. looks nice and cozy without looking super itchy.
Okay, so it’s maybe more of a mock neck than a turtleneck, but it still looks really cozy and it’s definitely a sweater you could easily have in your closet for years.
I always like knit sweaters because they don’t always feel as sweaters; they just feel like heavy shirts, which can be great on days that aren’t extremely cold.
This knit sweater from H&M is so simple but so cute. It has a zipper detail in the back that adds a little extra visual interest and you could easily wear this with anything.
You can even easily add a shirt underneath to give an extra pop of color, as well.
Finally, can I say, all of the chenille sweaters that came back into existence this year are giving me such nostalgia of the late 90’s when chenille sweaters were everything.
That being said, I had to include this simple Chenille pullover from A New Day at Target. Not only is it super affordable, but it’s perfect if you want that nostalgic feel…and if you want a really soft sweater.
I’m not sure I’d wear leopard with it, but I also don’t wear a ton of leopard anyway. I like the almost dolman sleeve to this sweater, too. It’s a little different than most of the other sweaters I featured here.
Have you found any holy grail sweaters yet this winter?
