*So you know that moment when you feel like you have part of your life together but not fully? That’s my life, right now.

*Devon and I were going to go get our passports done yesterday, but I haven’t the foggiest idea where my birth certificate is, and it annoys me.  Mostly because it’s not where it’s supposed to be and I don’t remember the last time was I saw it.  So, not only do I have to get another one, but I actually have to get it by mail because the only office of vital records here is up in northern-ish Baltimore and they’re only open from 8am-4pm Monday-Friday.  I work, for those who forgot and I work near DC, so I would literally have to take at least half a day off to get it and I don’t have that kind of time.  So, mailing it will have to happen.  Hopefully, it doesn’t take 10 years to get here.

*I spent a good three hours deep cleaning the back part of our apartment yesterday.  Partially, it was out of annoyance because I couldn’t find my birth certificate (I have a tendency to stress-clean) and partially because it needed a cleaning out.  Our office hasn’t been that organized since the beginning of summer, so it’s nice to be able to have full range of that room again.  I know if I kept it up better, this wouldn’t be a thing, but that room is so hard to up-keep.

*I totally thought it was like 3 or 4 in the afternoon, to just look over and see that it’s only 1:30.  I’m more than okay with that.

*We booked our honeymoon flights today!!  I’m so excited!  I’m going to give an actual update here this week on what has been going on because we’ve done quite a bit lately for the wedding, but the flights being booked is super exciting to me!  Now, we just need to book hotels and figure out what we’re doing while we’re abroad.

*I’m getting the chance to see a few of my Keough girls over the next few weeks (my school last year) and I’m really excited.  A couple of them are in a play at their new school this coming weekend that Devon and I are going to go and see.  One of them has never actually acted in a school play before, so I’m so happy she’s coming out of her comfort zone for this and I can’t wait to see her perform.  And I made plans with another one of my girls to go to lunch next Friday when my school has a half day.  She started her Freshman year at Howard U. this year, so she’s actually pretty close to where I work; it’ll be nice to see her.  I feel so lucky that I still get to be part of these girls’ lives; I look forward to visiting with them.

*Essentially my house is clean and I’m all meal prepped for the week, so I have the illusion of having my life together….however…..we know I don’t.  But I’m going to marvel at the amazingness of it all being done and go relax for a bit now.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
