Casual Friday #8

Friday makes me happy.

It always does.

I have a couple of things to do this weekend, but hopefully nothing that will be too demanding. I needs naps.

Today’s Casual Friday is based on a few things I picked up on Black Friday, including the most amazing pair of booties I found at Macy’s. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see that I actually wore these on Wednesday and am in love with them.

These boots are from American Rag, come in a few different colors AND are currently 30% off. Not to mention, they’re amazing. I’m not a girl that likes heels…well…I don’t mind them, but my feet hate them. So this tiny heel doesn’t bother me and the shoes felt like they were broken in after like an hour of wearing them. I will definitely be wearing them a lot this winter. I MIGHT also get them in one of the other colors that they have…we’ll see.

Because it’s Casual Friday (in my head) I would easily put these with a pair of skinny jeans, like these from H&M:

Or, if you’re stuck in office attire like I am today, you might do better with (or at least get away with) these skinny khaki-style pants from JCPenney. I also scored a pair of these recently and they’re actually pretty comfy. They are Junior’s sizing and they are low-waisted, so be mindful of that when you’re looking to sizing. I sized up one size. They aren’t so skinny that they’re stuck to the entirety of your leg, which I like.

Now…if you’re in the Northeast, it’s been pretty cold the past few days, so sweaters are life right now.

And if you’ve been following me around on Instagram lately, you know I have been fully hardcore LUSTING over this Cloudspun Sweater from American Eagle, so when it was like half off this past weekend for Black Friday, I pounced.

You guys…this sweater is AMAZING! It is so soft, so cozy, so…everything. It’s my most favorite purchase of Black Friday. I’ve already worn it once and am washing it so I can wear it again. It’s so good. It’s a great tunic length, so you could easily wear it with leggings (if you’re into that) and it covers you in all the places it should when you wear leggings.

And, because I’m me, I like scarves (and because it’s winter) and I like the thought of a lighter scarf with this just for some contrast between the thicker cozier sweater, so something like this pretty floral one here:
