I got through phases with…pretty much everything.  I will be hopelessly obsessed with something for like…a month and then never look at it again, or at least not look at it again for like a year.

Given that I’m fickle (to which I tell Devon he needs to feel lucky I still like him after all these years….I’m only kind of kidding); I thought it might be fun to share what I’m currently obsessing over.

Before you shake your head or roll your eyes at the “oh no, not another ranch obsessed person” reaction…hear me out…..

These taste like ranch….but they don’t, at the same time.  I actually didn’t like these at first.  I’m not sure what it is, but they don’t taste like your typical ranch flavor, HOWEVER there is something super addicting about these things.  I can eat an entire box in one sitting…I mean I could…I’ve never done that or anything.  They’re a better snack than just snacking on some oil-laden chips; so there’s that.  Try these…trust me…if you don’t like the first couple that much, try a few more and they’ll probably grow on you, too.

 

PaperMate InkJoy Gel Pens, preferably in a 0.5mm tip.  I basically use no other pen these days.  These write so beautifully and smoothly and they feel really good in your hand.  If you’re a “planner girl”, you’ve known about these pens for awhile since they’ve been all the rage there for awhile.  I’ve also known about them awhile and have been absolutely obsessed with them since I started using them several months ago.  Most of the my other pens have been relegated to “Student use”, meaning I don’t care if they get taken from my room by the kids, but they’re not touching my InkJoy’s; I will kick them out before they touch them.

 

I’ve mentioned my Spotify love on Instagram before and I’ve mentioned a couple of playlists everyone should totally listen to.  This is my current love/obsession.  It’s essentially my high school/college life in a playlist.  As I’m writing this I’m listening to “Shape of My Heart” by The Backstreet Boys and just happily jamming out.  Of course, working in a high school, I get a lot of “OMG I remember this song from back in the day” from the current 14-18 year olds.  Part of me feels old and the other part of me says to them, “no you don’t you weren’t even born yet”…and then again, I feel old.  And then another one of my “old” jams starts and I forget that even happened.

 

I have loved hidden picture games for as long as I can remember.  You know the ones, where you’re given some sort of scene and have to find a bunch of random things in the picture.  I remember getting Highlights magazine as a kid and they had Hidden Pictures pages and it was always the first thing I did in the book.  Then I graduated to computer versions.  The Secret Society is available in the App Store on any Apple Product (I’m sure there’s likely an Android version, too) and it’s completely free to download.  I downloaded it on my Mac about a month ago and am still playing it.  It’s actually really long and detailed for a free game (obviously there are Power-UPs from the App Store you can buy, but I haven’t) and I’m already up to level 25.  I’m not sure how many levels there are but I still have a couple dozen rooms I haven’t unlocked yet, so I’ll likely still be playing it for a good while.

 

This last one is a bit of a cop out, because I don’t actually own one of these.  However…I WANT ONE SO BAD!  I want it so badly on our wedding registries, but neither Bed Bath and Beyond, nor Macys (feel free to check out our registries . ;)) carry this specific brand. Yeah, they have pressure cookers, but this is more than a pressure cooker…and I want it. Most of our family and friends know I want this so I’m hoping that means someone will take initiative and just get it for us even though we aren’t registered for it, if not, I’m still getting it eventually.  I have to play with this.
