Today, I went into work on-time despite it snowing a bit overnight.
What made it worse was my county was the ONLY county in the area to go in on time. They even put a kind of snarky note up on their webpage to say that they would be opening on time.
But thank goodness it’s Friday. (I say like I didn’t have a day off on Monday and a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, but whatever.) . It’s just one of those weeks where you’re relishing in the fact that it’s Friday.
And that you have another three day weekend coming up.
Since it’s snowy and wintery (and supposed to snow more this weekend), I’m feeling the winter cozies.
Though if you’ve sifted through my past few Casual Friday’s, that’s essentially been my life all winter. But it seems appropriate; winter is the cozy season. It’s the season where I want to do nothing more than to hang out at home in the comfiest clothes I own and relax.
I’m also really obsessed with sweaters this year, which is feeding my cozy obsession. And since my sweater obsession is off the charts, this Casual Friday will continue to cater to that:
I actually saw this sweater at Target recently and am kind of sorry that we’re being fiscally responsible because I kind of really wanted it. It’s kind of verging on being “too much”…but only kind of….
I’ve never tried jeans from the Universal Thread line at Target but I’ve heard these Adaptive Line ones are insanely comfy. And I am a sucker for a good basic pair of dark wash bootcut/flare jeans.
I mean….we have like a foot of snow on the ground, so snow boots seem necessary here. And these look comfy and warm (especially for when I left my house at 6am this morning because I was the only county who started school on time….but I’m not bitter).
I go through phases with a lot of things, and currently, I’m on an earring kick and these are just adorable. They go perfectly with the sweater linked above and would add a really cute pop of color around the face. I mean, I have a tortoiseshell cat, my guess is I’m pretty into tortoiseshell all the things.
