FabFitFun Spring Unboxing!

I am LOVING this subscription box, so much!  I’ve done (and still do) other subscription boxes, but this one is starting to take over as my favorite box just because of the variety of products in them, the fact that the products are full size and because even the stuff I don’t “want”, I can easily gift to someone else.

For those not familiar with the box, it’s sent four times a year (so once per season) and it’s filled with an assortment of wellness products, beauty/skincare items, health aides, accessories, jewelry and so much more.  As an added bonus, each season FabFitFun partners with a charitable organization and donates part of the box proceeds to that charity so not only are you getting great products, but you’re also helping those who are less fortunate.

This season’s charity is called “More Than Me” which is an organization that helps young women in Liberia go to school and obtain an education, tuition-free.  The founders understand how important it is for all young people, especially women to have an education and how much it will help in their future successes.

Each box costs $49.99 (or you can subscribe for a year for $179.99), which seems a little high for subscription boxes, but remember you’re only charged 4 times a year since these are seasonal boxes.  Each box you receive usually has a value of between $250-300, at minimum, so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth.  This season’s Spring Box actually has a value of around $360! I’m not even kidding.  I’m going to list the retail price for the items in their description just to give you an idea of the value you’re getting.

If you’re interested in trying this subscription out, you can use this link to get $10 off of your first box, making it only $39.99!

So, let’s get to the good stuff.  This is what came in my Spring box:

I want to first point out how much I love their packaging.  I love that they take a lot of care into making sure the items arrive to you safely and it’s just really pretty and fun to open.

The first thing that grabbed my attention (which of course was also the biggest thing) was this huge tapestry/throw/coverup/scarf thing from Gypsy 05.   It’s called a Roundie, probably because it’s round, but it’s massive and gorgeous.  It’s meant to be used as blanket if you want to go on a cute picnic or a beach towel.  You can even use it as a beach cover-up or like a blanket scarf in a way.  They even suggest just hanging it up on a wall for an interesting wall piece.  It was hard to get a good picture of it because of how large it is, but it’s gorgeous.  They had a lot of different prints and I got the green and yellow paisley print.  Retail $50

This next item is one that I am MOST excited to try.  It’s the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Age Defying Exfoliator.  If you remember there was an exfoliating product in the last season box which I have been using and really enjoying.  The O.R.G Mineral Face Peel is a bit more of a gentle exfoliating product, in my opinion, which is great because I use it about once a week just to really get all the extra gunk off my face. This Dr. Brandt product feels like it’s a bit heavier and might go a little deeper than the O.R.G. Peel.  I don’t think I could use this weekly (because of my sensitive skin) like I do the other product, but maybe every couple weeks or so to really get a deep clean.  Plus it has lactic acid and aluminum oxide crystals to really help you skin feel smooth and to really help any dull or dark spots you may have.  Retail $79.

With me opening up about my hair loss issues, I’m kind of excited to see these gummies in here.  They’re the Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin, and Nails line with Biotin in gummy form.  I’ve been wanting to try these just to see if the gummy version would be easier for me (since I sometimes have issues swallowing pills) and they’re strawberry flavored, which might be good.  They’re a lower dose than I actually take of Biotin, so I’d need two a day, but, it just means I don’t have to buy Biotin for a couple weeks, so I’m okay with that.  These were just a bonus or extra in the box, so they weren’t factored into the retail value of the box, but I know I’ve seen these at Target and Walmart in like the $10, I think.

There is this really cute zipper pouch from Milly in the box, as well.  They had four different styles/monograms and I got the bag that says “Slay All Day” which I appreciated especially since most of the other monograms were beach related and I’m not really a beach person.  But, it’s cute and pretty large.  It would be great for travelling so you can take your toiletries with you in one bag and it’s a canvas material, so I’m guessing it would clean up pretty easily, if something spilled.  Retail $45

While dry skin is not really a problem that I have (hello, oily complexion!) these Karuna Hydrating+ face masks will definitely make a friend of mine that does have severely dry skin happy. These are single-use sheet masks that are made of 100% wood-pulp fiber  that allows pores to fully absorb essential nutrients and ingredients for ultimate hydration.  It’s a set of four masks, so if you use it once a week, it’s a month’s worth which is pretty nice.  I’m gifting these to a friend because I’m super oily and these are designed for parched skin, so I’ll have to see how she likes them.  Retails $28.

This RealHer Lip kit looks really interesting.  I think it might be a little dark for me but I’m not against trying it (and if it is, I’m sure my makeup addicted best friend would love to take it off my hands).  It’s a three piece kit in the shade Deep Red and it comes with a liquid lipstick, plumping lip gloss and lip liner.  It’s all full size and, like I said, really pretty.  Just not sure my super paleness can pull it off.  Retail $48.

I LOVE these nail colors!!!!  I’m so excited!  This is a Deborah Lippmann nail polish set in Blue Orchid and Like A Virgin (which is obviously a pure white color) and they’re so pretty and soft for the spring time.  Like I’ve said, I don’t really polish my nails since I get manicures, but I do polish my toes when it’s warm out (yay for sandals!) so I’m excited to have these for the toes. Retail $19.

I admit, I’ve actually already used this Briogeo Rosarco Milk Reparative Leave-In Conditioning Spray a couple of times since I got the box on Saturday.  Devon picked the box up from our front stoop while I was in the shower and of course I immediately tear into it.  I see this and I’m like, “well, I have clean and damp hair, so let’s go for it”.  I like it, it really is extremely lightweight, so if you don’t like the feeling of stuff in your hair, you’d like this.  It has rosehip, argan and coconut oils in it to help improve softness, strength and moisture levels in the hair.  It tells you to spray it right on your hair, I actually sprayed it on my hands and raked it through my hair (mid-shaft to ends, mostly) with my fingers.  It kind of helps to de-tangle that way if you need it.  Retail $20

Last, but not least, is this really pretty and delicate cage bracelet by Emerald Duv, called “Joshua Tree”.  It is handcrafted, so each bracelet is slightly different, but the design is beautiful and understated.  Of course, it’s gold which I can’t wear, so that makes me kind of sad, but it’ll definitely make a for a really nice gift for someone’s birthday! Retail $80
