*I took an impromptu mental health day Friday.  I don’t think I realized how much I needed it until around the middle of the day when I noticed how calm and happy I was.  There is a lot of stuff going on in life and at work, so I just really needed a little time to myself to just think, do things I don’t typically get to do, all the good stuff.  If you’re feeling a little burnt out, take a mental health day.  10/10 recommend.

*I did a little bit of shopping while I was out Friday.  While I’m not someone who fully updates their wardrobe for each season, I do like to spruce it up with a couple things as the seasons change.  So, while I was out Friday, I was on the hunt for a new spring jacket and a new spring/summer bag.  I struck out on the jacket front, but I did manage to find the perfect spring/summer bag,

Madewell Zip Top Transport Tote

I found it Nordstrom Rack; it was sitting on a bottom shelf, all by itself; there wasn’t even anything else from the company in the handbag section, so of course, I grabbed it.  It didn’t even have a price tag on it.  So I took it up to the register and had them price check it and…it was $60!  $60 for a Madewell Crossbody bag that retails for $148.  I would have been crazy not to buy it.  I’ve never owned a Madewell bag before, but I’ve heard about the amazing quality for so long that I’m super excited to start using it.

*I have a couple of career opportunities coming up in the next couple of weeks that could be very good for me, so if you’re a cross your fingers/praying kind, a couple extra thoughts would be appreciated.

*While I will do a full update soon, I do think my intermittent fasting is going well.  I’m not one for a number on a scale, but I can tell my pants are fitting a bit better.  And it’s really easy to do, for me.  I’m not doing a full five days a week yet, but I’m doing four days pretty easily.

*I think it’s about time for a new phone.  I still have an iPhone 6s, and it’s starting to have issues charging.  So, I think it’s time for an upgrade.  I’m very much an Apple person, so I’ll be sticking to an iPhone, it’s just deciding which version to get.  If you have one of the newer iPhones, I’d love to hear which you have and what you like about it.
